A TYPICAL AGENCY’S STANDARD CONTRACT TERMS
PURE PEOPLE “CONTRACTORS DIRECT” TERMS
Between 15 and 20% premium on the hourly rate of a contractor on an ongoing basis. The average contract lasts for six months (often extended beyond this).
Introduction fee of one week’s pay. This is the equivalent of approximately 6 weeks’ agency premium (so from the 7th week of a contract, the client is saving money).
So for a typical contractor earning £30 per hour, the agency premium would be £4.50/hour (minimum).
So for the £30/hour contractor on a 37.5 hour week, we would charge a flat fee of £1125.
Agency premiums are payable from the start of the contract.
The ‘contractors direct’ fee is payable five weeks after the contractor’s start date.
If the contractor’s term is extended the agency premium applies ad infinitum.
The fee stands at one week’s pay regardless of the length of contract.
If a client makes the contractor permanent then the agency will often invoice the client a full permanent recruitment fee.
If the client makes the contractor permanent then Pure People will invoice the client a set 20% fee, LESS the amount already paid in the ‘contractors direct’ fee.
Generally, contracts have a four week either side termination clause.
Pure People offer a 100% rebate in the first month (unless for contracts less than 3 months, then one week 100% rebate).
The client is usually invoiced by the agency on a weekly basis and the agency pays the contractor.
The client would pay the contractor directly on a pay period agreed between the contractor and client.

The Client will make significant savings on employing contract staff. They will have direct contact with the contractor in terms of rate increases (and when the contractor’s rate increases there is no additional agency premium to be paid).

“Contractors Direct” placement fee

The Pure People Placement Fee for placing any contractor is a single payment equal to one week’s pay to the contractor (@ a 37.5 hour week), exclusive of VAT. The Client will pay the contractor’s pay directly to the Contractor. The Company will have no obligation to or liability for the Contractor’s pay. If a contractor introduced by Pure People becomes a permanent employee then the normal introduction fee will apply. Full Terms of Business available upon request.
